Mancala explanation.

Mancala Explanation.

What you need:

. A mancala board

. 48 counters or marbles

. 2 players

Set Up:

. Put 4 counters in each of the 12 smaller holes.

How to play:

.1 person picks up the counters from 1 hole on their side, and drops 1 counter in each hole moving anti-clockwise.

. The 2 big holes at the end are your points, so people can’t take your counters.

.How you get another turn is by having your last counter dropped in to your big hole at the end.

.If the other player has a bundle and the last counter you drop is the only one in the hole, then you can take that counter and the other person’s and put it in your big hole.

.When it is your turn and you touch the bundle, then you touch another bundle, you have to take the bundle you touched first.

.If one of the sides with 6 holes has no counters in it and if the other side has counters on their side, they get those counters on their side - they get those counters.

.How to work out who wins. You count up your counters and who has the most counters wins the game.

So that is how you play Mancala.
